Welcome To Earthcraft Rescue!
Humans are extinct, but much was preserved in digital media from that time long ago. A group of robot friends, huge fans of the culture, love to get together, observe this archive, and play being human. Then, one day, something exciting occurred. An Earthcraft, built to simulated historic human life for entertainment purposes, had been discovered, and it was abandoned. The group of friends knew they had to get inside and explore!
But they never returned.
You are Spark, a heroic humanoid robot, hired to enter the craft and rescue them. Are you up for the challenge?
Earthcraft Rescue is a 3D game that requires WASD + mouse control. Additional inputs can be found listed in the settings menu on the start and pause screens.
Playtest Info:
Current Playtest: Casual Mode / Bug Hunt
Experience the base layer of the game where you must search the Earthcraft for the explorers, switch them on, and guide them to safety. This playtest aims to identify any bugs in the core design and ensure that the mission is playable with no issues before the threats and challenges are added. I will also be interested in feedback and suggestions relating to any aspect of the game.
Please note that this game is designed for windows and will become a windows build after this playtest to ensure it runs smoothly when enemies are added. On browser currently, you may experience a bit of lag when the game initiates, when music tracks load, and when the torch is first switched on, but it runs fine besides that on Chrome and Firefox. Edge isn't quite as smooth, so if you don't have Chrome or Firefox and are having performance issues, the windows version will be available in a few weeks for the Challenge Mode playtest, so keep an eye out for that instead.
Checkpoint save will be added soon for the download versions. For browser, you can speed up the session by checking the browser console for explorer spawn clues: TH (green maze district) ATTH (narrow brown maze) ATFF (wide brown maze) FF (forest area near ATFF) RP (rocky area) EMU (mountain area) ANFF (hidden area above forest area) SWP (swamp area).

Upcoming Playtests: Challenge Mode, Survival Mode.
Game Modes:
Casual: Locate the lost explorers and guide them to safety. Explorer interaction switches them on / off. Energy and HP do not deplete. Control the squad to move or follow by aiming the command pointer in 3D space. This easy mode may or may not be in the final game - depending on feedback.
Challenge: Creatures roam the Earthcraft and will attack on sight. Day-night cycle is active and night is extremely dangerous, so you must reach a camp before dark. HP depletes and requires healing. Explorers flee from danger. Squad must regroup after escaping from threats. This will be the new normal mode, a much simplified version of the survival prototype.
Survival: Energy depletes and requires recharge. Explorer interaction opens Inventory. Resources are enabled for camp activation, energy recharge, and HP recharge. Weapons and combat are enabled. Explorers fight to protect the group. This is the previous main game but will become the new hard mode. Difficulty variables will be customizable, either to find balance through testing, or as a permanent feature.
